About Me
My name is Eric Reilly and I am a board certified anesthesiologist. I was born in Dearborn, Michigan and now serve patients across Metro Detroit at various hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. My top goal in the workplace is to ensure personalized, effective, and evidence-based care for each of my patients.

One of my specialties is Regional Anesthesia, which involves using small injections - sometimes called nerve blocks - to numb parts of the body. This helps reduce the amount of anesthesia patients need, and can sometimes reduce the need for general anesthesia entirely. This can be a great option to help avoid intubations, decrease the need for opioid pain medications, and reduce the side effects of general anesthesia - such as nausea and delirium.

My career and training have taken me across the globe. I have worked extensively in major medical and trauma centers in Metro Detroit and Seattle, volunteered in the adult tuberculosis wards in Malawi, Africa, and served on a medical mission in the Philippines where we brought life-saving surgical care to underserved populations on the island of Boracay. Through these experiences I have garnered a diverse set of skills which help me anticipate and treat a wide array of complex patients in my current practice.
